kemungkinan karena penggunaan result yg tidak dibatasi....
susah analisa nya kalo gak ada source or gejala lainnya...
coba pake liimit di query nya
$this->db->limit(10);kalo gak error, berarti mang bener masalah kebanyakan datanya.... harus pake paging, or httpd.conf nya yg diubah

os nya pake apa mas . dan cek ada gak port lain selain xampp yang pake seperti firewall dll.
ato udah coba di install ulang xamppnya ???
